In industrial production, the installation of industrial robots is of paramount importance. Problems during installation can not only affect the robot's performance and lifespan but also impact industrial safety and economic benefits. Therefore, proper installation of industrial robots is crucial. Based on past experience, the author believes the following three aspects must be addressed during installation:
Understanding the Procedure
Before actual installation, relevant personnel must have a thorough understanding of the industrial robot's operating procedures, clarifying the relationships between its components, identifying which dimensions and positions must be precisely accurate, and which can be relaxed.
Developing a Plan
A detailed installation plan should be developed for each industrial robot, taking into account the actual production conditions on-site. Contingency plans should also be developed to ensure comprehensive coverage and effective implementation. Furthermore, before actual installation, relevant work instructions should be developed. These instructions should clearly define specific operating procedures, key points, required personnel, and self-inspection requirements, thus providing a unified basis for the safety of industrial robot equipment.
Cognitive Execution
This mainly refers to the need for a detailed review after each industrial robot is installed. For example, after installing the connecting equipment of the industrial robot, a detailed review of the key dimensions of the installed components is required. This can avoid the problem of overall rework due to dimensional changes.
